Join us for a guided walk on Ramsey Island, one of Wales' most breathtaking nature reserves with a member of our RSPB team.
Our spring and summer walks have a special emphasis on seabirds and we will look at how Ramsey’s history has shaped their populations.
Learn about one of Pembrokeshire’s most important but least known birds the Manx shearwater and discover the story of RSPB Grassholm Island and its Gannets.
We'll spot some of Ramsey's other wildlife along the way. Learn about the islands history and find out what it is like to live and work on a remote island today. Return to the farmhouse where volunteers and staff will be on hand to answer any questions. The small island shop will be open. Hot and cold snacks will be available (no sandwiches or ice cream).
This is a full day event. The morning guided walk lasts up to 4 hours, then spend the afternoon at your leisure before the return boat at 16.00
Guided walk route is a 2.5 mile circular walk climbing over 100 mtrs. The path is rocky and rugged and very steep in places. It is important that attendees are physically able and suitably dressed. Sturdy footwear, warm waterproof layer and sunscreen are a must.
